Four people have been charged after thousands of cannabis plants with a potential value of $10 million were seized during a major police operation north of Deniliquin on Wednesday.

About 9.15am, officers attached to Murray River Police District, with assistance from Southern Region Enforcement Squad and State Crime Command, executed a search warrant at a rural property in Neimur, about 80km north-west of Deniliquin
During a search, police allegedly located and seized about 5000 cannabis plants.
Four people were arrested at the property and taken to Deniliquin Police Station, where they were all charged with cultivate prohibited plant not less than the large commercial quantity and possess prohibited plant not less than the large commercial quantity.
They were all refused bail to appear and were expected to appear before Bail Division Court 5 late yesterday.
