The Deniliquin Lions Club raised more than $1500 through its annual Christmas stocking raffle.
While an exact final figure was not available when the Pastoral Time went to print, Lion Geoff Riley said the trolley full of tickets indicated a successful raffle.
"I know there was in excess of $1500 raised, so you have to be happy with that," he said.
"It means we can continue to support various projects that we run throughout the year.
"We'd like to thank all those who bought tickets, and Central IGA for allowing us to sell the tickets at their store."
The raffle was drawn at Central IGA on Tuesday, with the stocking full of children's toys and games going to Julie Campbell.
"It feels good to win this," she said.
"I have plenty of friends with young children and I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet, so that has that sorted.
"While it's nice to win I bought the tickets to support the local community.
"If I see a local organisation running a raffle I'll always buy tickets, because giving back to the community is important to me."
