It seems Sparra has recognised a possible means of turning the Conoravirus and subsequent border closure to advantage, with his proposal coming to light on Facebook.
A qualified pilot, he has hit on the idea of flights to slash the long delays currently associated with crossing times to just three minutes.
Details of the service are sketchy but it seems bookings and customs clearances are essential, but you can be sure the trip will be entertaining.
Great idea Sparra. If nothing else it will give those making the crossings something to think about as they sit in their cars waiting, waiting, waiting.

There is generally only one occasion when people are not happy when the heavens open up and the rains come teaming down.
And that’s when it interferes with golf!
Golf days are usually well planned and everyone is looking forward to catching up with the other players and getting a bit of exercise.
However, this was not the case for Mathoura Golf Club members on Sunday when play was cancelled because the course was too wet.
Hopefully the sun will shine this Sunday when the boys return to finish off the Singles Knock-Out Championship.

Mathoura Bowling Club is gearing up for the 2000/2001 season with a number of things in the pipeline.
The first will be a special meeting of the Men’s Bowls Committee which will consider proposals for some rule changes.
That meeting will be held on Monday, August 24 at 7pm and will be followed at 7.30pm by the committee’s annual general meeting.
Plans are also in the pipeline for activities designed to wrap up one season and open up another.
While it may seem the wrong way around, an open day of bowls to herald the coming season is proposed for Saturday, September 5 and will be followed by a dinner and presentation function that evening to mark the end of the COVID-19 affected season.
In the meantime, Roll Up sessions are being held to help get bowlers out of the house and keep them in touch with the game.
These are scheduled for today and tomorrow at 10am, 11.30am, 2.30pm and 4pm.
Interested people should contact Lindsay on 0408 361 271.

Christmas is always a fun time of year and it is great to have seen decorations made by community members several years ago return to prominence, giving the town a festive look and feel during the yuletide season.
Murray River Council has also contributed to the look and feel of Christmas in recent years with a boost to the lighting of the rotunda in the Soldiers’ Memorial Gardens.
Council has again indicated its desire to see the decorations expanded, and is calling on the community to put forward ideas.
So if you have any suggestions, let council know.
