Show cancelled
The annual Hay Show has been cancelled in 2020.
Its organising committee had originally hoped to host a modified show in the Hay CBD in early September, with horse events at a later date.
Victorian border closures placed more uncertainty on the event, however, leading to the decision to cancel.
It comes just weeks after the 2020 Hay Merino Sheep Show was officially cancelled.

They allege he was found in possession of housebreaking implements, methylamphetamine, three mobile phones and various identity documents.
He was charged with possession of prohibited drug, goods in personal custody suspected of being stolen and possess housebreaking implements.
Cops in isolation
Sixteen Shepparton police officers are self-isolating after a Melbourne police member who visited Shepparton last week tested positive for COVID-19.
The Crime Command member is normally based at the Spencer St complex, and tested positive on Thursday.
Part of the Shepparton station has been blocked off for a deep clean.
Victoria Police insists the isolation of 16 officers will not impact on police resourcing.
