If anyone was taking a stroll through the bush near the former caravan park in town last week, they could have been forgiven for thinking Mathoura Public School students had ‘gone bush’.
Well they would have been partially correct because the youngsters were competing in the annual Cross country competition.
All participants performed admirably.
Congratulations to all the placegetters, and to all who tried their best on the day. Well done!
The school has provided a full wrap of the results to the Pastoral Times, which will be included in a future edition.

Knowing the road rules is most important, but especially so for children who walk or ride their bikes to school.
To mark National Road Safety Week Mathoura Public School students had a visit from local police officer, Constable Brodie Casburn, to ensure they are up to date with general road safety.
The visit has been timely as students will be walking to the library to listen to a National Simultaneous Storytime presentation along with thousands of students across Australia.
