Some people said that there are two types of people in the world based on their activity levels - the “busy people” and the “idle people”.
The busy people are often associated with productivity and happiness.
Idleness, on the other hand, can be linked to a lack of purpose.
But ‘busyness’ itself can be unproductive at some point.
Many people are both busy and idle at the same time.
Some people say it is like a car with its engine running but not moving.
We are taught that Christian faith emphasises diligent work, which includes both spiritual and professional responsibilities.
We are called to approach our daily work with excellence.
There is no room for mediocrity, and no room for idleness.
We need to use our time and talents for God’s will and purpose.
Idleness has no place in the kingdom of God because it is like a vice that led us to sin, misery, and separation from God.
Many people say, “idleness is the enemy of the soul”.
‘Busyness’ can be a cover-up for not doing the will of God.
It can be a form of laziness to avoid spiritual responsibilities.
It can be a sign of worry and lack of trust and avoid God’s call to spiritual renewal.
We may be busy in life, but always remember, we need to yield to God.
We should be consciously surrendering our life to His will, trusting his plans, and relinquishing control of our own desires and plans to him, allowing him to lead and guide our life.
