Built around the NSW State Whipcracking Titles being held in Conargo on the day, the family fun day was a chance to celebrate local heritage, rural traditions and local businesses and organisations.
And except for being a little gusty at times, the warm autumn weather helped contribute to good numbers.
The free-entry event offered plenty for families.
Two dinosaur treasure hunts with ‘Whippy the Dinosaur’ had kids racing around the playground for cattle tags, winning lucky dip prizes.
Children could also purchase a $10 wristband for unlimited access to activities, including a jumping castle, airbrush tattoos, and mechanical bull rides.
Live music from local teens Lucy Herberte, Izzy Pearn, and Blake John added a lively soundtrack, while blade shearing and Australian Light Horse demonstrations highlighted traditional skills.
Bush butchering by Ashley and Daisy Holden of Dreaded Meats Mobile Butchery drew captivated audiences across two sessions.
The Deniliquin Poker Run brought nearly 200 cars and motorbikes for an afternoon display, while market stalls, army and police displays, and the Echuca Engine Club added extra attractions.
Food and refreshments were plentiful, with the Deniliquin Rovers Football & Netball Club canteen, a coffee van Fusion The Riverina's Sip 'n' Go, and the newly reformed Country Women's Association of Deniliquin selling more than 200 scones baked by Conargo local Deb Stockton.
The raffle proved a highlight, with the Custom ‘Conargo: A Day with Legends’ firepit going to a ticket purchased by ‘JT’.
Deb Stockton won the $500 Country Pack from Diggers Country Outfitters, ‘Jason’ won the My Shop voucher, Deb Faulkner picked up the horse artwork from Cherrywood Emporium and Phil Rose won the photography voucher from Casey Gordon Photography.
