Murray Mallee Training Company has rolled out a fresh new look, with updated signage designed to make the organisation more visible and accessible across the Southern Riverina.

Business mentor consultant Rob Hackney said the aim is to ensure people in smaller towns feel they have genuine options when it comes to training and employment.
MMTC not only helps jobseekers on their career path, but businesses looking to fill positions too.
“Often in smaller towns, it can feel like there aren’t a lot of options, so we try to offer a point of contact to find something you enjoy,” Rob said.
“We take the pressure off businesses, deal with any problems that might arise, check PPE, make sure apprentices and trainees are being looked after, and make sure training is up to date.”
As a Registered Training Organisation, MMTC continues to provide structured support, compliance and industry‑aligned training across the region.
That support is reflected in the progress of the apprentices they support.
Apprentices like Holly Hansen, an employee of McLean Beach Holiday Park who is thriving in her business traineeship.
Holly said her experience has been “very good” after three months in the role.
“It’s easy when you know what you’re doing,” she said, noting her growing confidence and familiarity with the work.
Holly’s development is overseen by park employee Summer Jupp, herself a former Murray Mallee trainee who now mentors Holly as part of the park’s partnership program.
Summer said Holly has made “exceptional progress”, crediting Murray Mallee’s structured support for helping her “progress in leaps and bounds.”
Summer completed her own traineeship in 2021.
“I learned a lot from the program; it was definitely very beneficial for my development” she said.
Apprentice butcher Lane Scott is also making strong strides in his trade at Mokanger Butchery.
Butchery owner John Allitt praised Lane’s work ethic, and the support provided through MMTC.
“Having Murray Mallee around definitely takes the pressure off us,” John said.
“Everything from legalities and funding to up‑to‑date training, it’s just great.”

Lane recently competed at the Regional Retail Butchery Competition in Wollongong West, placing fourth against emerging butchers from across NSW.
Competitors were tested across breakdown, boning, primal preparation, product display, communication, time management, cooking and product knowledge.
“It was pretty much prepping everything to specification, and having it appeal to customers. It was fun,” Lane said.
