The imported gelding posted his fourth successive win since coming to Australia in the $150,000 Listed race.
Ironclad ($2.50 fav) ridden by Jamie Kah was not extended to defeat Platoon with Vassilator third.
The five year-old had seven starts in England for two wins over 2012m before joining Will Clarken’s Adelaide stable.
He was weighted to win Saturday’s race with the 54kg minimum but should be competitive in stronger spring company in the 1600m to 2000m range.

Starry Legend was another Bendigo winner to impress.
The John Saddler trained colt ridden by Michael Dee was successful in the Gold Rush (1000m) for two year-olds.
He won easily at Sandown at his only previous start.
Runner-up Frostin’ hit the line strongly and can atone over more ground.

Verry Elleegant, Stay Inside and Eduardo were outstanding winners at Rosehill.
Stay Inside ($5.10), the column’s selection, was dominant in the Golden Slipper Stakes.
He was fourth entering the straight and sprinted quickly to have the race in his keeping at the 200m.
His task was made easier when the Profiteer ($4 fav) team got their tactics wrong.
Profiteer weakened to finish seventh after attempting to lead all of the way.
Leaders in high pressure 1200m races rarely win.

There should be more success in the next few weeks for Sandown winners Sirileo Miss, Bondi Sands and Excelleration.
The Symon Wilde trained Sirileo Miss won the Benchmark 64 (1300m) at her first start since November.
She had two starts in her first preparation for a Bendigo win and Ballarat second.
Bondi Sands, a four year-old trained by Danny O’Brien, won the Benchmark 64 (2100m) at his first start since winning over 2414m at Newmarket (GB) in June last year.

Follow — Excelleration: Three starts for two wins and a second; began slowly and swept around the field for 1400m win when resuming at Sandown.

Coming winners: Harmony Rose was third in Randwick Guineas and better suited in fillies’ race.
Riddle Me That resumed with second to Ancestry at Moonee Valley.
She’s Ideel obtained clear running too late when third at Rosehill.
