This isn’t the first award ceremony park owners Frank and Lynda White have attended.
There are more than 11 awards proudly on display at the holiday park and in 2017, they achieved Hall of Fame status at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards for winning the gold award three years in a row.
“It’s been five years now since we have been able to re-enter the NSW Tourism Awards,” Mr White said.
“After becoming state level Hall of Fame inductees, we also achieved Hall of Fame nationally at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in 2017.
“This is something that has never been achieved by a caravan park before, so it was certainly a huge feather in not only our cap but also for Deniliquin as a destination to be known as the home of Australia’s best caravan park.
“Once you achieve Hall of Fame status, there is a period of time where you aren’t able to enter the awards, so we’ve not been through the intensive submission process these past few years.
“We could easily have retired our award submission writing and said ‘job done’ when we were inducted into the national Hall of Fame, but in the past few years and even despite the challenges a worldwide pandemic presented, we have continued to invest and improve our park facilities.
“We have added new cabins, glamping tents, a BMX pump track, a second pontoon boat, new recreation areas, outdoor movies and soon installation will commence on a brand new flying fox and adventure playground space.
“We’re proud of our team, our park and our town and with so many improvements and additions to the park, we didn’t wish to miss the opportunity to enter the awards once more.”
Winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held at Luna Park (Sydney) on November 17.
Relevant category winners will go on to represent NSW at the Australian Tourism Awards in early 2023.
