Bowlers raise funds for Daff Day

There was a sea of yellow when the Thursday indoor bowlers came together Thursday last week.

The ladies took to the carpet to raise funds for Daffodil Day.

Twelve players attended the day, playing three games of bowls.

All winners and resting touchers received their own daffodils at the end of the afternoon.

The lucky prize winner of the day was Pat Howard, with Wendly Earle winning the raffle.

Indoor bowls president Marg Chick thanked everyone in attendance for their generosity and donations.

The funds raised on the day came to a total of $478.60.

Sunday saw 17 players take to the carpets.

Winners of the day, with three wins, were Mary Stevens, Kath Campbell and Heather Wills.

Runners-up with 22 shots were Maurice Collins Roe, Ella Hipworth and June Mitchell.
