Only the sound of laughter was louder than the music pumping out over the Deniliquin RSL Bowling Club greens on Wednesday night, when the club hosted week two of its charity bowls series.
Local and visiting bowlers played for about an hour before enjoying a supplied barbecue dinner.
Meanwhile, some of their children could have a go at bowls, with a game of skittles on the greens.
The fun barefoot bowls nights are held each Wednesday in January, from 6.30pm. Entry is $10 per person and the number of players determines how much is donated to charity.
For the second week in a row, Jo Bovell, Kev Keane and Bryan Kemnitz were winners on the night. They chose Deniliquin CanAssist as the recipient charity.
