And that’s what the Deniliquin Baptist Church wants to celebrate with everyone that can join them on Easter Sunday morning, as it once again hosts Easter in the Park.
It will be held in the Deniliquin Waring Gardens from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
“Easter in the Park is a free family event that we put on for the Deniliquin community to give something back to the town,” Pastor Chris Taylor said.
A family-friendly event with something for everyone, this year there will be various kids’ activities that include a LEGO tent, sand art and, of course, the annual Easter Egg hunt.
A free sausage sizzle lunch will also be held.
Baptist Church outreach worker Penny Fowler said it makes the event worthwhile to see families come down and have fun together.
“It’s always so wonderful to have many people come out to join us in the beautiful Waring Gardens on Easter morning.”
An informal church service is part of the event, and includes a kid’s story, live music and a brief message about the event that changed the world.
“The service starts at 10.30am and everyone is welcome to attend this part of the event,” Pastor Taylor said.
“Easter is a celebration of the central message of the Christian faith for believers around the world; that Jesus not only died but also rose again to life.
“And because of that, our lives can also be changed for the better.”
The Easter in the Park event is free to attend and everyone is welcome to join the celebrations. For more information, call Pastor Taylor on 5881 5580.
