The annual event - to be held Saturday, September 19 at the Deniliquin RSL Club - will honour individuals whose dedication and commitment have made a lasting contribution to the transport industry across Deniliquin and the surrounding districts.
While the Deniliquin Truck Show and Industry Expo that usually follows this evening will be on hiatus in 2026, organisers will continue one of the event's most cherished traditions, ensuring local transport legends receive the recognition they deserve.
Guests will gather in the Dunlop Room for an evening of celebration, reflection and storytelling.
The event is expected to attract transport operators, drivers, industry supporters and former inductees from across the southern Riverina and beyond.
Throughout the evening, attendees will hear the stories of those being inducted and celebrate the achievements that have helped shape the region's transport history.
The Wall of Fame’s mission is to recognise drivers, owner-operators, mechanics and transport pioneers whose hard work has kept regional Australia moving.
Over the years, the honour roll has grown to include dozens of respected industry figures from communities including Deniliquin, Moama, Barham, Hay, Finley, Jerilderie, Tocumwal and Berrigan.
More than an awards ceremony, the 2026 Deniliquin and District Transport Industry Wall of Fame Dinner will celebrate the spirit of Australia's transport industry and highlight the strong sense of community that continues to drive it forward.
The commemorations will continue on Sunday, September 20, with the annual memorial service at the Legends Rest Area in North Deniliquin.
Family members, friends and industry colleagues will gather to remember and pay tribute to those who have passed away, ensuring their contributions to the transport industry are never forgotten.
