As the weeks count down to the Euroa Autumn Beef Cattle Show, the stocks keep rising for three young women who have stepped up to run the event.

Teagan Kubeil, Emily Peck and Carlie Mackelmann have already made an impression in the cattle world and are coming together to organise the show being held on the weekend of March 2 to 3.

Past convener of the show Shannon McCormick welcomed the new blood and described their efforts so far as ‘brilliant’.

“These ladies are what is needed in the agricultural show sector,” Mrs McCormick said.

“It needs new ideas and enthusiasm to keep the industry alive.”

Teagan is the chief steward for the event and secretary for the show committee, having stepped into the role seamlessly before the October show.

“She took the role on a few weeks before and just ran with it,” Mrs McCormick said.

“She is also the junior rural ambassador for the Euroa show.”

Emily is the rural ambassador for the Goulburn Valley Riverina Shows Association and competes in many different sections of agricultural shows.

Carlie is no stranger to the showing ring, having won the 2023 National Champion Beef Parader award in Launceston.

Carlie also manages her own Red Poll stud and continues her family’s long history of involvement with the Euroa show.
