It is not every day that you turn 90, so it was great to be able to celebrate with parishioners old and new.
The service was followed by a luncheon in the Community Hall in Lawrence St.

It was interesting to see that Deniliquin’s recently reburied time capsule raised a huge amount of money, from the 692 letters which will now occupy the capsule for 25 years.
I wonder when Mathoura’s time capsule is due for recovery?
It is no doubt smaller and won’t contain anywhere near the number of letters.
However it will still be interesting to read about what was happening back in the day.

The school holidays have been drenched by some heavy rain, but it doesn’t seem to have bothered the kids too much.
They can generally settle down with a good book, or for some that I know who live on a farm - help out in the shearing shed.

Truck enthusiasts will have a treat in store with the Deniliquin Truck Show and Industry Expo scheduled for October.
The Truck Show and Modified Tractor Pull will be held on the Deniliquin Ute Muster site, Conargo Road on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
The event will feature roaring engines billowing smoke and fierce competition as well as a modified tractor pull.
There will also be plenty of entertainment for the kids and loads of food for everyone.
