The event, on Sunday, December 7, will include a barbecue and refreshments, icecream and kids activities.
There will be performances by special guest star Callum Gleeson, of The Voice fame, as well as students from the Mathoura Primary School.
Callum was part of the carols evening last year, and was a big hit.
But of course, the highlight of the night will be a visit from the chubby fellow in the red suit - Santa Claus.

Oh what a night it was!
It really was quite a night on Saturday when Mathoura Bowling Club hosted the Luke Combs Tribue Show, supported by the Echuca-based band Stumbling North.
The outdoor event attracted a large crowd who had to endure gusty, freezing wind which wouldn’t let up.
However, there were plenty of food and beverages on hand to help see them through.
The night finished with a fireworks display which will be long remembered.
I hope local residents have recovered any animals that maybe didn’t care for the fun but noisy close to the night’s proceedings.

The Mathoura RSL Sub-branch had a good turn out for its Remembrance Day activities, which were relocated to the War Memorial Hall due to the weather conditions.
Students from the Mathoura Public School paid tribute in song on the day to those who served, while Bronwyn Eddy said the prayer.
A number of local organisations laid wreaths for later placement at the cenotaph in the adjacent Soldiers’ Memorial Gardens.

Just another warning for children and parents about the current danger of snakes in town.
They appear to be turning up everywhere, so we should refrain from going barefoot – and ensure we have torches when walking around at night.

After many years as your columnist, I have decided it’s time to pass the torch.
I intend to retire from writing the ‘Mathoura Diary’ column at the end of this year.
I would love for someone to take over from me, to ensure local news is provided to the Deniliquin Pastoral Times each week.
If you’d like to know more about what this entails, or would like to volunteer for the job, please contact me, or Pastoral Times content manager Zoe McMaugh at zoe.mcmaugh@denipt.com.au.
