The unit meets each Wednesday from 6pm to 8.30pm, offering a structured weekly parade night where cadets learn practical skills including navigation, radio communication, basic first aid and responding to emergency situations.
Training is hands-on, confidence-building and designed to develop leadership in a supportive environment.
Beyond weekly activities, Deniliquin cadets regularly combine with the Echuca unit for overnight exercises, patrols and field activities.
They also take part in the annual Victorian Brigade camp at Puckapunyal, where hundreds of cadets come together for team-building challenges, capture-the-flag missions, field engineering tasks and development of life-skills.
Cadets can also choose from a range of elective courses throughout the year, including drone racing, survival skills, advanced first aid and more.
A $25 joining fee covers uniform, pack and general supplies, making the program one of the most affordable youth development opportunities in the region.
Anyone with questions about enrolments or the year ahead is encouraged to message the unit’s Facebook page or phone 0432 425 809.
