One of the many talented young residents of Deniliquin has been rewarded for her impeccable artistic skills.

Grace Allitt’s artwork titled “Two-faced” was turning heads at the Dramatic Minds Festival last week.

Although the Pastoral Times was unable to get hold of Gracie for a chat about her artwork, we were able to speak with Deniliquin High School Principal Glen Warren.

“It’s a very impressive result to have one of our students receive such an award, all of our students work very hard and Gracie receiving this award shows how that work pays off,” Mr Warren said.

“Gracie is a very talented young artist and the school is very proud of her achievements.”

Another Deniliquin High student was also present in the Dramatic Minds Festival.

Leandri Bothma’s oil pastel painting titled ‘Amahlia’ reached the finals at the festival but unfortunately did not receive an award.

“The artwork receiving an award or not is not as important as how proud we are as a school of the young talent we are able to help flourish,” Mr Warren added.
