Edward River Council Deputy Mayor Paul Fellows has tendered his resignation from the council, after two years in the role of Deputy Mayor and Councillor.
Mayor Cr Peta Betts said it was a big loss for Edward River Council and thanked Cr Fellows for his efforts and dedication.
In a statement released by council late yesterday, council said Cr Fellows offered his resignation for “personal reasons”.
With councillor elections coming up in September next year, council is seeking advice on whether it needs to fill the vacancy on council before the election.
