Corowa's Gallery 294 has opened its annual Small Works exhibition, showcasing the works of 17 artists from Corowa, Albury, North East Victoria, and the wider Riverina. The exhibition, which opened on Saturday, April 8, features 32 pieces of artwork, all limited in size to less than 30cm x 30cm.
Members of the Corowa Arts Co-operative Ltd, who run Gallery 294, hosted the exhibition's opening event with artists and members in attendance. The gallery has been in operation for 15 years, and exhibitions like this one have been an integral part of its ongoing success.
One of the exhibition's hallmarks over the years has been the diversity of the works presented, and this year is no exception. The gallery's Special Exhibitions room displays the large number of works in the exhibition.
The exhibition will run until May 5, and admission is free at all times, except Wednesdays. The Corowa Arts Co-operative is eager to welcome new artist members who need a space to exhibit and sell their work, and who would like to be involved in Gallery 294. More information about membership can be found on the Gallery 294 website, www.gallery294.org.au.
For those interested in visiting the Small Works exhibition, the gallery is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to view the works of talented artists from across the Riverina and North East Victoria, showcasing a range of styles and mediums.
