From its five hour barbecue breakfast fundraiser on Friday - which was Do It For Dolly Day across the country - Nutrien raised $9700.
Jake Freshwater said this amount was raised through selling bacon and egg rolls and Dolly’s Dream merchandise, and from generous donations.
“We served breakfast from 6am until 11am, with roughly 400 rolls served,” he said.
“There was 30kg of bacon cooked and 400 eggs.
“Donations are still coming in, and people can still donate online at https://www.dollysdream.org.au/fundraisers/nutriendenidoitfordollydaybaconeggrollbbq.
“Nutrien want to express a huge thank you to all those who donated and supported us - the Deniliquin Pastoral Times and Ace Radio for advertising, Visattak for our window display, Deniliquin Party Hire for equipment, Deniliquin Bakers Delight for the rolls and B & D Foods for supplying the bacon and eggs.”
Dolly’s Dream was created by Kate and Tick Everett following the shattering loss of their 14 year-old daughter, Dolly, to suicide after ongoing bullying.
They want to change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.
