Donations put CCTV on track

The committee is made up of members from Committee for Echuca Moama, Echuca and Moama police and the Local Safety Committee.

Echuca Workers general manager Erin Langman said the board was supportive of the project.

“Echuca needs to keep up with technology, and being a community-based organisation we love to support projects in the community,” she said.

“Safety in the town is important, and we have a responsibility to discourage anti-social behaviour, which CCTV cameras will hopefully provide.

“We hope our donation will encourage other businesses to put their hands in their pockets.”

The two donations have brought the tally to $50,000, thanks to a $30,000 donation from Moama Bowling Club.
