The vibrant creations are from the artists at Kurrajong Warratah’s Studio 2710.
Their art has been turned into a vinyl-like sticker, and placed on the concrete footpaths starting at Edward River Council’s offices and continuing down to the Wellington St corner on the other side of the town hall.
Artists specifically working on the project are listed on the footpath, which also provides a QR code linked to Deniliquin’s tourism website.
Artists involved in the project are Kadi Mills, Lila Hills, Helene Nohrenberg, Josie McAndrew, David Keck, Jared Thurrowgood, Peter Chivers and Tom Close.
Light installation too
You’ll need to look down to see the art celebrating the Town Hall during the day, but at night you’ll need to look up.
A free projection light show, presented by Edward River Council and illuminart, also forms part of the re-opening celebrations.
Kicking off today and running through to April 10, the activation features many images of historic events and functions which occurred at the Town hall throughout the years.
This project is an initiative of Edward River Council, funded through NSW State Government Department of Planning and Environment, Streets as Shared Spaces program.

Fundraising family night
If you’re not one of the lucky ones attending tonight’s official opening of the Town Hall, you’re invited instead to head along to the Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay fundraiser at the Deniliquin Boat Club.
This April is the 36th annual Murray to Moyne Cycle Relay, with Deniliquin submitting a team of riders for 33 of those rides.
The ride will be held on April 1 and 2 and will cover approximately 537km from Echuca to Port Fairy.
All funds raised support the Deniliquin Hospital to purchase vital equipment on their wish list to improve patient care not covered by government funding.
There will be a silent auction with a massive list of prizes and raffles throughout the evening.
Zech Walters will be the musical entertainment, and Cafe 100 will cater from its food van.
It is free to attend the evening. Bring a chair or picnic rug and soak up the atmosphere.
Work experience with a difference
Local youngsters are being invited to consider participating in the Australia Federal Police Forensics Work Experience Program.
The one-week program will be held in Canberra for Years 10-12 students who want to pursue a career in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), particularly in forensic science.
The first course will be held in May 2023 and the second in September 2023.
You have until March 10 to submit your application.

Safe burning checklist
NSW RFS - Mid Murray Zone has prepared a checklist as every year hundreds of fires are due to the careless use of fires on properties.
• Check you are allowed to burn - Contact your council or local Fire Control Centre.
• Get a permit - They are free and easy to obtain.
• Notify your neighbours - Atleast 24 hours in advance of a planned burn.
• Check conditions - Such as weather and fire danger ratings. In bad conditions permits may be suspended.
• Monitor the fire - If it gets out of control call 000.
Safe burning is your responsibility. Don’t be the fire risk to your community.
