Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group has been awarded funding from the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network to deliver the project in partnership with Edward River Council.
It aims to reinforce that mental health is a shared responsibility and help is available.
Deni MHAG president Lourene Liebenberg said the new campaign would complement existing awareness tools and resources, including the Deni MHAG website, resources distributed throughout the year, print and radio media coverage and social media.
“We are currently rolling out a poster campaign in all, or at least most public toilets across the Edward River Council region, which was previously funded through a Community Grant.
“The funding from MHPN will also allow us to start on the design work for the Sticky Topics series of stickers to align with existing campaigns.
“These will be mostly footpath stickers, stickers for bins and, where appropriate, corflute signs.
“The aim is for the stickers to create curiosity and for people to scan QR codes and then to be directed to the website where they will find core messaging around that particular campaign.
“Every year we continue to see a rise in the number of site visits on our website and the content being engaged with, and this is so encouraging for us.”
