The Chamber is inviting anyone interested in business in Deniliquin to come together next Wednesday, March 11 from 7.30am to 9am at The Crossing Cafe for Chamber’s newly branded Coffee + Connections - Small Biz Chat.
This relaxed, informal catch-up is designed as an accessible networking touchpoint for business owners, operators and community partners.
There’s no formal agenda, just great coffee and meaningful conversation.
The main aim of Coffee + Connections is to strengthen relationships across the business community, encourage idea-sharing and collaboration, showcase local venues and provide direct access to the DBC team in a low-pressure environment.
Community members are also urged to get involved by attending Chamber’s member meeting that same day, held from 6pm to 7pm at the Deniliquin RSL Club.
Bush fire danger still in place
Despite some rain over the weekend, bushfire danger is as prevalent as ever, the Rural Fire Service have said.
RFS operational officer Jodie Graham has reminded community members we are still in the bushfire Danger Period, even though it is rather damp, and that people still need a fire permit to burn.
The RFS is only granting permits for agricultural burns (eg stubble burning).
Once granted a fire permit, residents need to notify the RFS at least 24 hours prior to lighting at www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/notify.
They must also notify their neighbours and the local brigade captain.
