While a full calendar of entertainment is not new at the Deni RSL, the special school holiday meal deal is.
For the next three Sundays - July 5, July 12 and July 19 - families can reap the benefits.
If you purchase an adult meal in the restaurant, you get one free meal from the special kids’ menu for children under 12.
And just for the adults, Wednesday night dinners at the club have been elevated with the introduction of the Mokanger Butchery Ribs Night.
You can indulge for just $18 if you’re a member, or an equally reasonable price of $25 if you’re not a member.
When it comes to the entertainment, there is no slowing down for winter.
A highlight of the month is the Legends of Rock show next Saturday, July 11 in the Dunlop Room, with doors open from 7.30pm.
Performed by Joe Piastrino and the JP Band, they will be playing the rock ‘n’ roll hits of the 1950s and 60s.
Open to all ages, the night will be a chance to reminisce over the classics or to enjoy the atmosphere of another time.
Member tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for under-18s, or $25 for a non-member adult ticket and $15 for under-18 non-members.
Tickets are available at trybooking.com/DNBIJ.
There’s live music every Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm to 11pm through July, as well as a special Open Mic Arvo on Sunday, July 19 from 3pm to 7pm in the main lounge.
The club also has its regular activities and entertainment on offer.
There’s trivia from 7pm to 9pm Tuesdays, line dancing from 6.30pm Thursdays and raffles throughout the week.
There’s also bingo three times a week - 11am Mondays, 7pm Wednesdays and 11am Fridays.
There’s free live music every Friday and Saturday night.
And if you’re just looking for a place to take the kids to let off a little steam, head on down and enjoy the club atmosphere while the kids expend their energy in the Little Diggers Club indoor playground.
If you plan to really let your hair down, take advantage of the all day courtesy bus. As long as the club is open, it’s running.
