Police were initially contacted in the early hours of Saturday, December 13 in relation to hoon activity.
It’s alleged a Ford Falcon was seen doing burnouts on Poictiers St.
Later the same morning, about 3.24am, police and the Rural Fire Service attended a fire in scrubland along Wakool Rd, Deniliquin.
A Ford Falcon, believed to be the same witnessed doing a burnout, was located in the middle of the fire.
Check revealed the car had been reported stolen.

Crash investigation
Police are urging safety on the roads this festive season after a crash involving four people early Tuesday morning.
Police said the driver lost traction and the vehicle slid into an electricity pole near the Four Post Rd and Greaves Rd intersection, causing the car to bounce off.
Police allege noone in the car was wearing seatbelts, and said speed is being investigated as a contributor to the crash.
All occupants of the car were taken to Deniliquin Hospital, but police said no serious injuries were reported.
Residents on alert
Investigations are continuing after reports of a “suspicious male” looking into multiple properties in the south-east of Deniliquin last week.
Police received a number of reports from the Hetherington St area between 3.15pm and 3.45pm last Thursday, December 11.
A man was seen looking in the windows of homes and cars, and police say he is suspected of attempting to break and or steal property.
