The Kagome tomato harvest season has officially arrived, and the excitement is growing across the region. For the first time since 2022, Kagome Australia is thrilled to bring its popular Pick-A-Box event back to Deniliquin, inviting locals and visitors alike to enjoy fresh, Aussie-grown tomatoes straight from the field.
Taking place on Saturday 31 January 2026, this much-loved community event will run from 8am to 11am at Doherty Farms, Parfreys Road, Deniliquin. For just $10 per box, participants can fill their own box with ripe, locally grown Kagome tomatoes, harvested directly from the vine. It’s a hands-on, family-friendly experience that celebrates Australian farming and fresh food at its best.
Even better, every dollar raised on the day will go towards a great local cause. All proceeds from Pick-A-Box will be matched by Kagome Australia and donated to the Deniliquin Health Service, providing vital support to local healthcare. Adding to the morning’s atmosphere, Deniliquin Rotary will be on site serving up tasty bacon and egg rolls, available for purchase. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy breakfast, support local volunteers, and connect with the community while soaking up the harvest season buzz.
To participate, simply bring your own boxes, wear closed-toe footwear, and remember your hat and sunscreen. Please ensure you bring $10 cash for each box you plan to pick.
