A tennis legend, commentator, bestselling author and now Logie winner, she will be a guest of the Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group for two local events.
The first - a women’s only dinner on Friday, October 17 - is already sold out.
Due to the overwhelming popularity, a second event was added and open to a broader audience.
It will be held Saturday, October 18 from 11am to 1pm.
Tickets to the Saturday event are still available, although limited, and can be purchased for $50 per person or $25 for youth and young adults (16-25 years).
Deni MHAG member Lourene Liebenberg said Ms Dokic’s story is inspirational.
“Jelena has a great story to share about how she got through some significant trauma in her life and how she has not only survived but thrived,” she said.
“She shares some of her very personal experiences, but also what she did in terms of seeking help and making changes in her life to start making her journey towards recovery.
“This is a great message for Mental Health Month, but I believe most people will relate to some of her story and walk away feeling inspired.”
Tickets to the event are available at https://www.trybooking.com/DDLVV.
