The boys also refurbished the preschool sign and added colourful planks to a wall.
Another great effort for the local community.

It’s cool to ride to school.
And there will be noone cooler than students of Mathoura Public School today, as they take to the streets to make their way to and from their place of learning.
Motorists are encouraged to take special care when they are driving around the town today.
These youngsters are our future.

As the opening round of the Picola and District Football Netball League draws closer, the Mathoura Football & Netball Club is encouraging locals to get on board and support the club by purchasing membership tickets.
Tickets went on sale at the Timbercutters’ rooms last night, and will also be available again next Thursday.
Full membership at $84 entitles the holder into every home game, while the Timbercutter $300 option offers a lot more entitlements.
If you can’t get to the club on the nights indicated, I’m sure club members would be happy to help you out.

They’re back — the cute little yellow ducks that take part in one of the most popular events in Mathoura at Easter time.
The annual Duck Race on Easter Sunday will see hundreds of ducks vie for supremacy in the race for hundreds of dollars in prizemoney for those who support the right duck.
Duck tickets are just $5 each and can be purchased each Thursday night at the Mathoura Football clubrooms in the lead up to Easter, and from the duck stall during the Easter Fair on April 16.
A barbecue and refreshments will be available at Picnic Point pre-race, and all interested people are encouraged to attend.

Market stalls are a great attraction at each Easter Fair.
As well as books and plants, sale items include a range of other ‘goodies’ which attract attention.
Organisers, the Mathoura Events Committee is keen to hear from anyone who is interested in operating a stall on Easter Saturday.
Just email the group on ifmathouraevents@gmail.comnf to find out more.

John claimed the title after defeating Bill Brander in the recent final.
Bowlers are encouraged to keep their other club games going.
The club will host a visit from South Vermont next Friday and local bowlers are being encouraged to make themselves available to play with the visitors.
Anyone wanting to play should put their names on the list in the bowls office.
Names of those wanting to take part in Saturday’s bus trip should also be placed on the list in the office.
