Each has reached a significant milestone, and the Deniliquin Business Chamber wanted to celebrate how their dedication has helped shape Deni into an “even better place to live, all while supporting the people and communities they serve”.
Deni Golf Club (125 years)
Celebrating 125 years of fairways and community spirit, the Deniliquin Golf Clubstands as one of the region’s most enduring sporting treasures.
From its early sand‑scrape beginnings to the beautiful course we know today, the club has grown and adapted through well over a century of change - thanks in no small part to the volunteers who’ve kept it resilient, welcoming, and thriving.
Rotary Club of Deniliquin (75 years)
The Rotary Club of Deniliquin has been a powerhouse of community spirit - lifting up local wellbeing, culture, and the environment through volunteer‑driven projects.
Their work is everywhere in Deni, from youth support and mental health initiatives to beloved local events and sustainability efforts.
Guided by the motto ‘Service Above Self’, they pair grassroots action with global impact, championing causes like End Polio Now while delivering hands‑on help at home.
Purtill Group (75 years)
Purtill Group has been part of the Deni business community for 75 years, growing from a small local operation into a multi service business that keeps the region moving.
Whether it’s fuel, transport, logistics, retail, their fabulous vehicle and memorabilia collection or backing community projects, Purtill Group has built its reputation on reliability, hard work, and genuine local pride.
Three‑quarters of a century on, they’re still evolving, still investing, and still supporting the community.
Yarkuwa Indigenous Knowledge Centre (25 years)
Yarkuwa has been proudly sharing, protecting, and celebrating indigenous culture in Deniliquin for 25 years.
What began in 2000 as a TAFE project focused on family and community history and building research skills to preserve cultural knowledge has grown into a vibrant community hub.
Today, Yarkuwa teaches, guides, researches, and keeps stories alive and continues to strengthen connections to Country and culture, ensuring the knowledge of the past thrives well into the future.
