Smoke drift continues
A light but persistent haze continues to drift over Deniliquin recently, with smoke floating across the region from bushfires burning in parts of Victoria.
While there are no active fires in Deni right now, the smoke has been noticeable at times, particularly during the morning and late afternoon.
Authorities advise residents, especially those with asthma or respiratory conditions, to keep an eye on air‑quality updates and limit outdoor activity if they experience discomfort.
The haze is expected to linger while fire activity continues and winds carry smoke across the border.

RSL fundraiser tonight
The special fundraising night for Deniliquin High School will be held at the Deniliquin RSL tonight, featuring local band Reminiscing.
