From farmers and Landcare groups to volunteers, educators and Traditional Owners, the awards celebrate people making a meaningful difference on the ground.
Nominations are free and open to individuals, groups and organisations, with community members encouraged to put forward those whose stories deserve to be told.
The NSW awards form part of the prestigious State and Territory Landcare Awards, a biennial national program that honours outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship across Australia.
The awards acknowledge achievements spanning climate action, environmental leadership, sustainable agriculture, Coastcare, First Nations leadership, women in Landcare, youth, and children’s initiatives.
The process is straightforward: nominators simply select their region and provide details of the individual, group or organisation they believe should be recognised.
Winners in each of the nine award categories in NSW will progress as finalists to the 2027 National Landcare Awards.
Nominations are until July 31.
