North asks ‘R U OK?’

Olivia, Emily, Alice, Payton and Paige.

The Deniliquin North School community came together this month to ask ‘R U OK?’.

The school took part in the annual R U OK? Day charity event - which encourages people to look out for one another and raises mental health awareness.

Students and staff wore yellow clothing, and the students did an amazing job at laying on the oval to make the ‘R U OK?’ logo, captured by principal Mark Peterson’s drone.

All students were given an R U OK? wrist band and learned the four steps of asking someone if they are okay.

They also completed class activities based around being a good friend.

Staff members also celebrated on their own, with a delicious yellow themed morning tea.
