A perfect way to lean into the holiday period, some schools chose to up the fun this year with a few extra activities.
A special Easter disco was hosted at Deniliquin’s Edward Puiblic School, and Mayrung invited friends, families and supporters to the school for a shared breakfast and Easter egg hunt.
Adding to end of term and Easter celebrations at Deni South was a mini fete, and at Deni North School students learned a few new Easter recipes with cooking classes.
St Michael’s School, Deniliquin hosted a traditional Stations of the Cross devotion, providing a meaningful opportunity for our community to reflect on the Easter story and it's true meaning.
The students re-enacted the 14 steps of the Stations of the Cross and provided musical items for the large group of parents, grandparents and carers who were in attendance.
