Moana Jr a success
Congratulations to Deniliquin's Talitha Lawson, who was part of the cast of the Echuca-Moama Theatre Company's successful production of Disney's Moana Jr over the weekend.
Playing the role of Te Fiti, Talitha helped bring the popular musical to life across five performances at the Echuca Paramount.
Months of rehearsals and hard work paid off, with strong audience support for the colourful production, which featured a cast of 43 young performers.
Talitha's involvement is a great achievement and another example of local talent shining on the stage.
Regional biz success
A few businesses in our readership area were recognised for their achievements at the Campaspe Murray Business Awards gala presentation held at Rich River Golf Club last week.
Among the winners was Moulamein Preschool Inc, which took out the Professional Service - Community Award (Small), recognising its contribution to the local community.
Switched On Electronics also added another accolade to its growing list of achievements, winning the Community Minded Business Award for its Echuca store.
The award recognised the business's commitment to community engagement through initiatives such as free Tech Tea Parties and Parent Tech Nights, helping improve digital literacy and confidence among residents of all ages.
The Deniliquin store runs similar events here in town.
The latest success for Echuca and Deniliquin owners Michael and Olivia Morona continues a strong run for Switched On Electronics, with the Deniliquin branch having also been recognised at the Deniliquin Business Chamber Awards earlier this year.
