Deni Rams volunteers help in various ways, including helping to get the grounds ready for the 2024 Murray League season earlier this year.
Volunteers are integral to the running of any sports club, especially one as large as the Deni Rams Football Netball Club.

Deni Rams president Ashley Hall confirmed that volunteers are even more important at the Rams than people may expect.
“They’re a part of every facet of the club,” he said.
“From the canteen to the gate, everywhere at the club has volunteers.”
The club has tapped into its existing and past player community to fill important roles at the entrance to the Hardinge St grounds.
“This year, we’ve been lucky to have some past players do the gate, which we really appreciate.
“Also, all the bar people, supporters and parents all volunteer and make a real difference to the club.”
Hall said matches involve specific roles for volunteers.
And then there’s the club committee which oversees all club activities.
“On game day, there is the umpiring and also all the administrative jobs to make sure the games run smoothly.
“I have to give a big shout out to the committee.
“They not only organise events; it’s a really big job organising all the football and netball.”
Hall said with a number of grades in both football and netball, the club’s volunteer base needs to be large.
“We have football grades from under 10s, under-12s, under-14s, under-17s, reserves and seniors and netball grades start with the under 11s with another seven grades all the way up to A-grade.
“To run those it’s a massive job. The committee and the rest of our volunteers do a wonderful job.
“I can’t thank them enough.”
The invitation is open for anyone who would like to be part of the Rams legacy as a volunteer, Hall said.
“We’re a happy and inclusive club and welcoming of all people to come down and be a part of the club through volunteering.
