Players in the 18‑hole, four‑ball Ambrose event are asked to arrive at the Deniliquin Golf Club by 12 pm, for a 12.30 pm shotgun start.
Sign‑ups are available at the pro shop, via the app, or by phoning 5881 3333.
Entry is $30, which includes a barbecue lunch and prizes.
Funds raised will support CEFERR’s financial assistance program for local youth, aged 16 to 25, to pursue post‑school education and training.
The foundation helps cover costs such as accommodation, transport, course fees and tools of the trade for students undertaking university, TAFE or apprenticeships.
CEFERR treasurer Wayne Bradley said the fundraiser is an important contributor to the foundation’s work.
“There’s no government funding, all the money comes from local support, so we are calling on golfers to assist,” he said.
Mr Bradley said the local branch is part of a national network supporting regional students who face additional challenges compared to their city counterparts.
“We help kids in the Edward River area with financial assistance for university, tertiary education and apprenticeships.
“The program is very worthwhile, with students applying each year for scholarships.”
