Motorbikes, classic cars and the pre‑booked shuttle bus made their way through five stops across the Edward River Council area, creating a lively and family‑friendly atmosphere from early morning until the final cards were revealed.
Participants travelled between venues collecting playing cards, with raffles and social stops adding to the momentum of the day.
Local support was evident throughout the event, with strong backing from sponsors, volunteers and spectators.
Deniliquin Motorcycle Riders member Adrian Dario said the turnout and community response were outstanding.
“It was very well received, the local support was just fantastic as well as the support from people out of town,” he said.
“Our local sponsors were unreal, and came out to support us.”
He said the purpose of the event remained central to the day.
“We wish to say thanks to the hardworking committee at Can Assist.
“That’s what we were doing on Saturday, out and supporting Can Assist.”
Mr Dario said the atmosphere was upbeat from start to finish.
“It was a great day; lots of bikes and cars, and an incredibly enthusiastic crowd,” he said, adding that organisers were pleased that “everybody got home safe.”
Support also came from the Blighty Football Netball Club, which contributed to the day’s activities.
The final fundraising tally is still being counted, but organisers say the strong attendance and generosity shown across the day point to another successful year for the event and for Can Assist’s work supporting local families.
