Somewhere and someone has made a negative decision to abandon recognising the existing plan to encourage the collection, propagation and planting of native vegetation, not only in Murray Local Land Services districts, but in Regional NSW.
The knowledge and expertise of those previously employed in this project in Murray LLS districts had a proven record in the future of incorporating native vegetation into current farming practices.
Small compensation after a history of extreme land clearing, but acceptably married to land use.
This knowledge and endeavour of seed collection, storage and planting is not easily acquired and if the new plan is to replace these, starting up again from scratch is questionable.
Those responsible for this decision should be made accountable for the performance and results of the proposed changes.
