The ballis being organised to raise funds for local charities with all profits returning to the local community Deni MHAG.
Proceeds will go towards Deni MHAG initiatives, including they’re goal to get 20 per cent of the local adult population trained in Mental Health First Aid by the end of 2027.
This is showcased by the upcoming free 12‑hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course will be held at the Deniliquin Golf Club on March 19 and 20, running from 9am to 4pm each day.
The course is funded for the community, with all materials provided. Participants are asked to supply their own lunch.

A long Anzac weekend
Deniliquin district residents will enjoy a long weekend in conjunction with Anzac Day.
The NSW Government has announced an additional public holiday on Monday, April 27, with Anzac Day this year on Saturday, April 25.
It has reinforced that under the Public Holidays Act 2010, Anzac Day is on April 25 each year and this will always remain the day of national commemoration. However, this year and next year, with Anzac Day on a Saturday and Sunday respectively, there will be an additional public holiday on the Monday.
It will be a big weekend in Deni, with all the regular Anzac Day services and activities, as well as the traditional Anzac Day race meeting.
Water main relocation underway on Hardinge Street
Edward River Council has begun relocating the water main along Hardinge Street as part of early works for the upcoming Hardinge Street upgrade.
The project covers the section between Ochtertyre Street and Wood Street, with crews on site from 7am to 5pm, Monday to Saturday. Works started on Monday, 16 February, and are expected to continue through to Friday, 5 June.
A reduced speed limit of 40km/h is in place for the duration of the project, and motorists are urged to follow traffic control, drive to the conditions and allow extra travel time.
Council has thanked residents for their patience while the essential works are completed.

Deep Creek Marina structure blaze
RFS crews attended the structure fire at Deep Creek Marina on Saturday.
On Saturday RFS crews responded to a structure fire at Deep Creek Marina near Moama.
It was attended by Womboota, Moama, FRNSW as well as Police.
A small office block was extensively destroyed in the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Police are investigating into the cause of the fire.
Rhinos trivia
The Deni Rhinos' cricket club held their inaugural trivia quiz in the Memorial Park shared clubrooms, with Chris Hogan ably hosting alongside Peter Rae and Wayne Bradley.
The club said it was fantastic to see community members, players, and parents come together for an enjoyable evening.
