Provided all tickets are sold by the Mega Auction — to be held at the Deniliquin RSL Club on Friday, April 29 — the car will be drawn on the night.
The Navorina Board and Deniliquin Toyota sourced the vehicle, which is an automatic with 2.0L 4-cylinder Dynamic Force Dual VVT-i petrol engine, with 16 inch alloy wheels.
‘‘Deni Toyota have been very generous in helping us get this vehicle for our fundraising efforts for Navorina,’’ fundraising committee member Sam Hall said.
Other features include heated door mirrors, multi-information display and 8’’ colour touch screen display with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and the myToyota App, a six-speaker audio system, USB input, and a reversing camera.
The prize comes with a 12 month registration and stamp duty.
In the coming weeks, residents may notice the car pop up around town at the sites of various sponsors.
Deniliquin Toyota general manager Vicki Holloway said Toyota’s partial contribution to the purchase of the car was a no-brainer, adding, ‘‘if we can help out with a cause like this, we will’’.
‘‘Because it is a community run nursing home, it’s only going to benefit everyone in the long run,’’ Mrs Holloway said.
She added staff at Deniliquin Toyota, some of whom have family at Navorina, would be happy to see the facility expand and improve the lives of all residents.
Look out for the posters and scan the QR code to enter. Tickets will be $50 each.
Tickets for the raffle can also be purchased from Navorina in Macauley St, Deniliquin, and Peppin Planners in End St, Deniliquin.
Entrants can purchase multiple tickets, but there’s only 1500 available.
Tickets are also available for the Mega Auction night.
The Navorina fundraising committee has expressed its thanks to the community for its interest in the auction night so far.
More than 70 event tickets have already been sold, but the fundraising committee is hoping for a showing of 250 guests.
‘‘The response has been amazing, considering we’re still two months out from the night,’’ Mr Hall said.
To book a table, phone the RSL Club on 5881 1455.
Guests are asked to book a table of up to eight people, priced at $100 per person, which includes a two course meal, comedic entertainment, and the chance to win door prizes.
More than 20 auction items will be on offer, along with a raffle.
