The weather on Tuesday might not have delivered the fun and colour we might expect of a spring race day, but there was plenty of it on offer inside the Deniliquin RSL Club.

As the wet weather built-up outside, Melbourne Cup Day revellers crowded into the club for a day of festivities.
They dressed like they were part of the action at Flemington, enjoying lovely meals and refreshments and race day themed activities.
The Fashions on the Field was hostly contested, with entrants strutting their stuff down a cat walk in the club’s main bar to enthusiastic support.

Fashions wrapped up in time for the gathered crowd to focus their attention on the big race, with festivities continuing into the evening.
