Deni Golf Resort’s Iain Goodway, Edward River Council and Intereach all has wins.
They were among 13 individual Deniliquin businesses represented at regionals.
Winners will now go on to represent the region at the state awards, to be held on October 30.

Rally displays shine
A strong contingent of cars, trucks, tractors, motorbikes and a few caravans rolled into the Deniliquin Showgrounds on Saturday and Sunday for the 2026 Collectors Club Spring Rally.
Although Ferguson and British Motor Company (BMC) were the feature vehicles of the weekend, the grounds were filled with a wide variety of vehicles, from gleaming hot rods and custom classics to vintage farm machinery and collectable displays.

Grand final heats up
It was an exciting Murray League grand final day at Moama Recreation Reserve, particularly for Deni fans with the Rams’ under-17s footballers bringing home the premiership.
But it was not just the footy and netball action that had everyone on the edge of their seats.
A fire broke out about 3.30pm, prompting the evacuation of the building and grandstand during the senior football grand final while Fire + Rescue NSW, NSW Rural Fire Service and police attended and managed the incident.
The fire was located in the men’s bathrooms, with smoke entering the roof cavity and first noticed by Deniliquin Rams Football Netball Club volunteers working in the nearby kitchen (a huge fundraising activity to the Deni club).
Murray River Council CEO Stacy Williams praised the club for raising the alarm.
“We are very grateful for the quick action and cooperation of the Deniliquin Rams Football Netball Club, who were operating the canteen, as well as the Moama Football Netball Club and Murray Football Netball League,” she said.
“Their immediate response, along with the professional work of Fire + Rescue NSW, the RFS and NSW Police, ensured the incident was safely contained, and the building was evacuated without injury.”
Among the attending fire authorities was the Deniliquin FRNSW brigade, providing “back up” for Moama.
Family’s grand final week
After a few big weeks of football and netball grand final action, community pride is certainly high.
But for the Cowley family, it’s been amped up a notch.
All three Cowley siblings - Ruby, Spencer and Baxter - played in grand finals this year, across three different leagues.
Spencer was a part of the premiership winning Deni Rams under-17s football side in the Murray League on Saturday.
Ruby played on Picola League grand final day for the Deni Rovers’ victorious under-17s netball side, and in A-grade.
While unable to complete the premiership trifecta, Baxter took part in the Goulburn Valley League under-18s football grand final for the Echuca Murray Bombers (see back page).
While the flag was out of reach, Baxter was awarded the Garry Lyon medal for best player in the finals' series (see page 11).
