Rivers running well for anglers

Tom Condie landed this silver perch on Boxing Day.

With cod season opening on December 1 and many locals having some spare time over the festive season, dropping a line in has become a popular activity in the last few weeks.

We put the call out to our readers and social media followers to share some of their catches. And they delivered.

Most of the anglers who responded have been casting out on the Edward River, but we also received a few photos of locals who have been exploring other river and creek systems in the region too.
