This spectacular evening unfolds at the historic Deniliquin Racecourse Reserve, where locals and travellers alike gather for an unforgettable night under the open sky.
Gates open at 3pm welcoming visitors with the sounds of live music from Deni’s own Zara Lindeman from 3.30pm, setting the perfect tone for a festival style atmosphere.
The main arena sparks to life at 4.30pm with a full junior rodeo program - a first for the Deniliquin event.
This early session is restricted to competitors under 18, but don’t be fooled by the age bracket.
Many of these young riders have grown up on the professional circuit, and will also line up in the open events later in the evening.
Junior competitors will be vying for substantial prize money, as well as two championship buckles - All‑Around Junior Girl and All‑Around Junior Boy.
Events include the steer ride, breakaway roping, bull ride and barrel racing.
Despite their size, the miniature bulls “buck, spin and twist in the air like a 750kg bull”, organisers say.
As daylight eases into a warm country evening, the second division and open events will take over the arena, ensuring a full night of top‑level rodeo entertainment.
The evening schedule includes the Australian Pro Rodeo level events of bucking bulls, bareback broncs, barrel racing, steer wrestling, team roping, and more - showcasing the grit, skill, and spirit of Australia’s best rodeo competitors.
With APR championship points up for grabs and top tier stock provided by seasoned contractor Gary McPhee, expect fast-paced and high quality rodeo action.
For families, the event is especially appealing.

Ticket options are priced with accessibility in mind: adults at $40, concessions at $25, youth (5–17) at $10, and family passes at $90. Children under five are admitted free.
The racecourse also offers camping, plus a courtesy bus running from key points around Deniliquin, making it easy for visitors staying in town to enjoy the full evening safely and comfortably.
Enhancing the atmosphere further, the rodeo includes half-time entertainment, trade stalls, and wheelchair accessible facilities, encouraging travellers of all ages and abilities to join the celebration.
This year, the schedule will include a Flat Chat Dachshund Race.
Attendees are encouraged to bring camp chairs or picnic blankets, settle in beneath the stars, and soak up the warmth of a truly community driven event.
After the action dies down at the rodeo arena, head on over to the Deniliquin Coach House Hotel for the after party, featuring more music from Zara Lindeman and her band.
