Between 7am and 11am on Monday, March 23, a window was forced open at a George St home in Deniliquin.
Police said there is clear evidence that whoever entered the home had been rummaging, with the home’s occupant discovering a laptop and other smaller items missing.
In the other report, a car was broken into outside a Duncan St home in east Deniliquin.
A number of personal items were removed from the car, including personal documents.
On Easter Sunday, police received a report that a damaged car parked at the edge of town had been entered and items stolen.
The car had been involved in a crash a few weeks earlier, and was yet to be removed from the side of the Cobb Hwy, near Saleyards Rd.
When the owner went to the car on Sunday, the car was open and items missing included a wheel brace and socket and spanner sets.
Detective Chief Inspector Jy Brown said it is a reminder not to leave anything valuable or of a personal nature in your cars, or in plain sight.
Anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact Deniliquin Police on 5881 9299 or CrimeStoppers on 1300 333 000.
