The total figure contributed to the annual appeal by Seymour and surrounds was $31,371.24, beating the donations accumulated in 2025 by more than $4000.
Huge sums were also tallied by generous donors across the region.

Regional and rural Victoria raised a total of $5,929,934, while the entire state achieved a record-breaking $25,268,485.
Three million dollars in funding has been allocated to more than 30 regional health services this year, with more than $8.5 million allocated to regional Victoria over the next three years.
Good Friday Appeal chair Penny Fowler thanked regional Victorians for digging deep year after year, saying funds raised would support regional healthcare providers.
“For 95 years, the Good Friday Appeal has raised money to support sick kids and their families,” she said.
“Every dollar donated provides life-saving care at the Royal Children’s Hospital and this funding will further enhance regional capacity, support essential projects to improve patient care and provide regional hospitals with crucial resources.
“We want to thank our regional supporters who are at the heart of the Good Friday Appeal for their incredible fundraising efforts over the years.”
