The volunteer-led planning committee began meeting in March, launching instantly into arranging the highly anticipated October event.
Show secretary Pam Beerens said the meetings had been well attended, with volunteers laying strong foundations for a great Seymour and district event.
The committee said there would be something for everyone at the show, with competitions, free entertainment and amusements in store.
Commencing at 4pm on Friday, October 3, the kick-off night is set to attract a large audience.
The show will open with the return of beloved local band The Skerricks, who will take the stage from 4pm to 8.30pm.
All pavilions will be open on the night, and all judging will have been completed, with ribbons to be awarded to the multitude of high-achieving winners.
Amusements will give attendees plenty to do, while food vendors will have an assortment of delicious foods for dinner.
Sticking with tradition, the evening wouldn’t be complete without a huge fireworks display, but residents are reminded to ensure their pets are secure as darkness falls.
As with all agricultural shows, the Saturday will include petting zoos, horses, cattle and cattle handling, Lego display, science for all ages, and buckets of fun.
Also returning will be the wildlife exposure, where attendees can see crocodiles on stage and in-person.
New for 2025 is Eljay Freestyle Entertainment, a show of motorbike moves that should not be tried at home.
The Header Simulator, where participants will gain insight on what it’s like to harvest a crop on a farm, the Flying Doctor Simulator, which will involve a realistic plane flight, pony rides, wood chopping, dog high-jumping, ferret racing, and seeing the inhabitants of tree hollows will also keep attendees entertained.
It is the only agricultural show in the Mitchell Shire, and the committee aims to give everyone a chance to see and participate in the local show with easy accessibility.
The committee is on the hunt for volunteers to help make the show happen, with a number of opportunities in store.
Those interested are welcomed to attend the Seymour Agricultural and Pastoral Society office in Kings Park on Wednesday, October 1 between 9am and 10am to see the secretary and join the dedicated team.
“Many hands make light work and get things happening,” Ms Beerens said.
